ContourAId’s research was featured at SASRO 2025, the Annual Scientific Association of Swiss Radiation Oncology conference in Davos. Amith Kamath delivered an invited talk on “Fast and Reliable Dosimetric Contour QA,” presenting key findings from his doctoral research that form the foundation of ContourAId’s quality assurance capabilities.

Amith Kamath, founder of ContourAId, has been selected as one of five University of Bern Venture Fellows for 2025-26. This prestigious fellowship supports entrepreneurial initiatives in technology transfer and innovation, providing resources and mentorship to transform research breakthroughs into real-world applications.

Congratulations to Zahira Mercado, Master’s student and key contributor to ContourAId, for winning the CAIM Research Award in the Translation category. This recognition honors her outstanding contributions to ContourAId’s development, particularly in advancing the translation of AI research into practical clinical applications.

ContourAId’s research has been selected as one of 100 “lab” pitches from researchers across more than 60 countries at the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit 2024 in Berlin. This event commemorates the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and brings together breakthrough research from around the globe.

Our paper “Comparing the Performance of Radiation Oncologists versus a Deep Learning Dose Predictor” has been accepted for oral presentation at the Medical Imaging with Deep Learning (MIDL) 2024 conference. With an acceptance rate of just 18% (36 out of 217 submissions), this represents a significant recognition of the quality and impact of our research.

ContourAId’s foundational research continues to gain recognition with two papers accepted at MICCAI 2023 in Vancouver, one of the premier conferences in medical image computing.

ContourAId’s research has been recognized with the 2nd Place Best Student Paper Award at IEEE EMBC 2023 (Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference) in Sydney, Australia. The award-winning paper, “ASTRA: Atomic Surface Transformations for Radiotherapy quality Assurance,” introduces innovative methods for automated quality control in radiation therapy planning.

At the CAIM Symposium 2022, Amith received a research award for innovation on ContourAId.
